Yatsuhashi

2001.10.22

Today is the official launch of "force" in Japan... so I figured that I should do something to this site even though there is no update yet... :P too bad I won't be able to play it until maybe this X'mas... >_<

Anyone familiar with the word "Yatsuhashi", or "eight bridges" in English? It is a technique that required some practice in order to perform it properly in VOOM. Of course in VOOT the same motion merely means a forward (diagonal) Q-Step... but since it's gone in Force will a new technique be born?

Alternatively you can buy Yatsuhashi easily. It is a famous specialty "Wakashi" (Japanese Dessert) around Kyoto. My sister bought me some "Autumn limited edition" with special taro & chestnut fillings when she was in Japan earlier on... yummy.

Anyhow, sorry for no updates but when I get these work done I will start cracking on the modelling page (and update the force page too if I can get any new materials). Stay tuned!

C3PRE

2001.09.23

It's so near that you can almost smell it...

If you went to "C3PRE" which took place on 26th of August in Tokyo Big Sight, you would have queued up for 2 hours at the Dengeki Hobby Magazine booth for a free game of "Force" location test version. There was the familiar live monitor, and a set of Force cabinets completed with card terminal. Some original VR models which appeared in the monthly magazine's feature story "Fragmentary Passage" were also displayed. It seems that they are planning to release the "White Rainbow Chivalry" Temjin as a 1/144 plastic kit since the prototype was also being displayed.

What you see here is the DNA side cabinet. The thing on the right is actually a blown-up roly-poly with Katoki's Fei-yen "force" design. Could be a game prize later on? Good for "The Bunny" haters as a punch bag, and as for Fei lovers... I can't imagine what you are going to do with it...

Check out the official Cybertroopers Virtual-On "Force" site for latest updates.

Rei-chan with Tem

2001.08.25

Finally I've started to do some updates... Most of which are my old works which haven't been seen, and I am opening the pages gradually. So please check back every now and then in the following month.

Be sure to check out Another Jaguarandi in the fanfic section. I've finished the translation of the 2nd and last part, also retranslated part 1 for smoother reading. Enjoy!

So where did these cool books go? The results were ready about 3 months back but I didn't have time to sort them out...

Guest Adjudicators: Tirah Dragonfire, Ian Mak, Sing.

Special thanks to Eggy-san (AKA Monomiyu/Minimiya), a game prize expert (UFO catchers/crane machines) and Battler pilot from Tokyo, who provided many of the VO goods.
