Finally, here are the results for the contest which ended some... half a year ago ;-p
Gomen gomen, it's better late than never right? m(_ _)m

This was my 1st net contest and I know it's very disorganised. You can be sure that I've learnt enough to make the next one better. My sincere apologies again for the very late announcement.

I've invited some very special and meaningful guests to be the adjudicators. Many thanks go to Tirah Dragonfire, webmaster of the famous Hardcore Compendium which helped me improve my VOOM skills. Ian Mak , who wrote 1 of the earlier English VOOM FAQs, kick-started and encouraged my interest on VO. Sing (AKA Buttmaster), the webmaster of Luv Luv Fei-Yen, the founder of HK VR Team who helped advancing the skills of many HK players by translating A LOT of Oratan techniques. Thank you all!

And of course I'm not forgetting our valuable participants, THANK YOU! I hope you enjoy your VO goods.

Entries were marked on creativity(13pt), skills(10pt) and effort(10pt). Totals from each adjudicator were added for the final mark, so it's out of 99pt. So here goes...

Tirah: This is superb. Very original, and a great pose.

Johnson: A Heavily customised Jag, now with a hand! Very cool. Eli has received the set of 3 Matrix books (WAVE edition). Congrads!

1st RUNNER-UP

Balzeph by ELi Mintzer [79/99]

T: Very neat. Both in concept and in terms of how cleanly the art and shading are executed.

J: A BBB/Cypher cross. I wonder what the ERL attacks would be? Another good piece of art from Eli.

2nd RUNNER-UP

Dash Close Combat by Fei Yuki [78/99]

T: This is some really nice work. Just a sweet action shot, and neatly done.

J: This is the leading female chara Takehito Elhaym Yukiko as appeared in Yuki-chan's VO fanfic. Long live the knight!

Short comical fanfic Yap Wai Mun (AKA Tem Yap) MS Word DOC T: This entry kind of baffles me. It's probably not fair but I scored it average. I don't think it really fits well with the contest, and most likely should have been under a seperate contest for written submissions.
That being said, the jokes and such themselves didn't do anything for me either.
Customised Belgdor David Li Drawing T: This is a solid piece of work. It's a nice action stance, and those are always harder to draw well than a VR standing still at attention. And it's a neat variation on Belgdor. Nice.
J: Very heavy looking.
Fei Knight David Li 2D CG T: Oooh, this one I really like. I'm hoping I can justify the scores despite my bias towards Fei-Yen, but seriously this is very original and creative. It's not anything I would have guessed I'd see. Great color choices too with the gold trim to give a more knightly look to her.
Battler Eli Mintzer 2D CG T: The proportions are a bit off on this piece, but it's pretty good. This guy has probably not been drawing for as long as some of the other artists, but I can see that he's going to be really good someday. It'll be interesting to see what he submits maybe a year from now. I can appreciate that the hand position on this VR is quite difficult to draw, and he made an admirable effort.
J: Eli must have spent quite some time to color it, good effort.
Striker Eli Mintzer Drawing T: This is a cool piece. It's a great pose and I like the emotion the artist tries to invoke with it. It has a lot of character.

Customised Raiden O.M.G. Eli Mintzer Drawing T: This one is a little rough, but it's definitely original. Interesting looking weapons there, and I think it suits a behemoth like Raiden to have something to flail at someone. I do like it, I think I would have scored it higher if it were better planned. It looks like the artist ran out of room to be able to really pose him the way they wanted. Nice work though.

Customised Temjin O.M.G. Eli Mintzer Drawing T: Nice detail work. Really nice detail work, actually. The artist broke his a**[J: consored] to do this one.
Viper II Eli Mintzer Drawing T: Well, it's not bad, just not up to the standard of this person's other work.
Hyper Heart! Emmeline Dobson 2D CG T: *laugh* This is a funny picture. I can see her wailing "WAAAAHHHH!!!" as the heart sails forward. Well done.
J: I really admire the coloring skills of Em. Just look at the golden parts.
Temjin O.M.G. Qi Chen (AKA Temjin QC) 3D CG T: This is a pretty nice CG. Not sure if it's fair for it to be in this contest, since I tend to think CG art is its own category with somewhat different criteria to consider.
J: QC is probably the 1st person I know who did 3D VO CG outside of Japan!

Temjin OT visor Qi Chen 3D CG T: Nice art piece.
J: I've been to QC's site recently and his Temjin OT is now half finished (upper body). I really look forward to seeing the finished version!

wallpaper Rikka Windows Theme T: This is not bad, but right now the competition is better. It looks like they've got a pretty good start though. Their CG art is sure to get better once they have more experience using the program.

Specy X'mas Rikka 2D CG T: Definitely a cute entry. :) But it can use some polishing.

FY pilot Fei Yuki 2D CG T: Not sure how I feel about that textured stuff, but overall a nice submission. The extra seems to detract a bit though, IMO.
Xiang Ying Fei Yuki 2D CG T: It's a neat concept, but I can't justify a higher score given a comparison of other work, and how much is original and how much is pre-existing stuff cut and pasted into the back.
J: Another VR pilot from Yuki's fanfic.

Omega Specineff Yap Wai Mun Drawing T: This is a cool take on the whole Specineff and DeathScythe thing. The work itself is nice too, but is lacking a little something. Most likely shading.
Apharmd the Hunter Yap Wai Mun Drawing T: Quite good.
Customised Cypher Yap Wai Mun Drawing T: Out of all of this person's submissions, I think this is one of the best ones.
J: Like the Raiden prototype, this VR has double launcher!
Customised GV Yap Wai Mun Drawing T: The writing on the VR I think detracts a lot. Otherwise it's not bad.
Customised Temjin OT Yap Wai Mun 2D CG T: This is original work, but the pose is a simpler one, and some of the proportions seem a little off. It's pretty good though.

Kazuku Hanashito Fei Yuki 2D CG J: Kazuku is the leader of the DNA Special Ops Specineff Squadron, as appeared in the VO PbEM RPG story.
