Wave 1:144 Plastic Injection TEMJIN MBV-04-E6
|
| Practice type Temjin as appeared in Saturn.
I had very primitive skills then. The parting lines were not treated. The yellow parts were sprayed a few layers with Tamiya's Camel Yellow (Gloss) canned spray paint, which is very close to the original color. The fingers and the grey parts of the launcher and above the visor were brush painted with a mixed water-based paint, unthickened. I used a oil-based sign-pen to color the black parts. A practice type indeed with minimal painting.

Wave 1:144 Plastic Injection VIPER II TRV-06k-H
|
| 2P version of Viper II.
A highly finished kit that minimal sanding was required. The pink parts were painted with careful masking. I applied a white underpaint then covered it with a peach pink kinda color (which is a little darker than the original). The only decal applied was the inside of the multi-launcher and the crystals below the wings, since I couldn't think of an easy way to remake the details. Also tried to use Gunze's acrylic metallic colors with a paint brush. The black lines were a combination of gundam marker(thin black), Zebra oil-based sign-pen and Tamiya's thinnered ceramic paint. The crystal sensors were painted with the water-based Gundam marker (floroscent green). The purple areas were unpainted since I liked the original mold's color (also less hassle :P). The finished model was then sprayed with a layer of Mr.Clear (gloss) to immitate the reflective coating in high-end CGs. I'm pretty satisfied with the result.
